Rochester High School is a Public 9th through 12th Grade school located at 180 S. Livernois Road Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307 and is the district’s first and oldest of the three high schools. The school mascot is Freddie the Falcon, with the school’s teams and students referred to as the Rochester Falcons. The school colors are Blue and White
Originally established in 1889 on the location of the current district administrative building, the current location has been holding classes since 1955. It has undergone several major renovations in 1957 (gymnasium), 1961 (2-story classroom wing), 1965 (auditorium, pool), 1986 (mall enclosure), 1998 (courtyard enclosure), 1999 (metal shop closure, converted to classrooms), 2001 (main office, counseling office, weight room, pool, gymnasium, computer and photography labs, theater and vocal area, science lab, green house and new courtyard, and air conditioning), 2016 (technology infrastructure, football stadium, theater, and updates to athletic wing).
The students at Rochester High School come from Reuther Middle School and partially from West Middle School. Per US News and World Report enrollment at Rochester is 1,572 students, which is fairly equally divided amongst all four grades.
